I'll be honest, I'm a little bit obsessed with the signs that we have. I especially love this one because there’s just something great about dancing in the kitchen.
When Jordan and I started dating, he would come over to my little apartment with a small galley style kitchen, he would put on some ridiculous old-style music that we would never normally listen to, take me in his arms and start dancing with me. To this day, every time he does that, I love every second of it.
When I’m cooking supper and the kiddos are playing, we will often put on a Pandora station with all the soundtracks of their favorite movies – Moana, Sing, Trolls… it’s a solid station. Our daughter and I dance while our son either 1) rolls his eyes at us and continues playing. Or occasionally… 2) breaks out his ‘guitar’ (usually a light up sword he got at the circus) and starts jamming with us from on top of the coffee table.
I also usually do a little dance when I complete my mandatory taste tests while cooking. You know, those ones where you get the first bite of what it’s going to taste like… and it’s just so amazing that it makes your body wiggle. For example… I made this stuff last weekend… it was so good. I don’t even know what to call it. It was inspired by baby’s craving for a French Dip.. but I wanted it to have veggies, and gravy, and then we found some garlic toast on sale from the bakery to throw in the oven… so here’s the creation from all of that:

Let me know if you make it, I’d love to hear from you! And take time today to dance in your kitchen - whether it’s with your spouse, or your kids, or by yourself because your food is just that good. Do it, and I bet you won’t be able to keep from smiling. :)
